Shoey Park
The Shoemakersville Park located at 800-1000 Park Street includes a covered stage, enclosed pavilion, covered picnic pavilion, two baseball fields, a basketball court, skate park and a multitude of play equipment covering almost 10 acres. The park is available for rent from May 1 to October 31. Contact the borough office for available dates.
The Shoemakersville Recreation Board is responsible for the annual Children’s Fair, Summer Park program and other community events. The Children’s Fair raises money for park equipment as well as the operations for the FREE summer park program. The Recreation Board is in need of new members to continue these wonderful traditions. Please contact the Borough Office if you are interested.
Shoemakersville Children’s Fair and Parade is the primary source for all of the Recreation Board’s funding. This annual event has occurred the first Saturday in June for over 70 years. Let us know what you think of Children’s Fair by filling out this survey for us. https://forms.gle/jvnwPtb4GkX7zM419
As a reminder, the Park Program is not a daycare facility. Our leaders are not certified daycare teachers. We expect the children as well as parents be respectful to our leaders and review the rules.

The Borough of Shoemakersville water system consists of five wells, a water plant and water tower. The water plant was built in 2001 while the water tower seen on Route 61 was built in 1939.
The water system produces 100,000 gallons of drinking water daily. The tower holds 200,000 gallons while the cement storage tank holds 350,000. Water is provided for the borough as well as select portions of Perry Township.
Take Three Pictures – Earn $10 Credit
In 1991 the federal government published a regulation called “Lead & Copper Rule.” Since then, this rule has undergone both major and minor changes based upon the regulatory environment and evolving scientific data. While previous guidelines meant this rule only applied to larger municipalities, changes over the years have made it so now smaller municipalities like ours are required to comply as well.
In order to make the most efficient use of our Borough’s limited resources as well as avoid imposing unnecessarily on resident’s time and homes in trying to access their water meters and lines, we are requesting that each water service customer “Take Three” (or more) photos and submit them to the Borough.
Photos Needed:
1. We are attempting to determine whether your incoming waterline is lead or copper so we will need at least one photo of the water line as it enters your home.
2. We also need to verify our water service data. For this, we need a photo of the water meter showing the meter serial number
3. Lastly, we need to verify that your water meter head is not part of a recall. For this, we need a photo of the reader head with the current meter reading.
