Shoemakersville Park
The Shoemakersville Park located at 800-1000 Park Street includes a covered stage, enclosed pavilion, covered picnic pavilion, two baseball fields, a basketball court, skate park and a multitude of play equipment covering almost 10 acres. The park is available for rent from May 1 to October 31. Contact the borough office for available dates.
The Shoemakersville Recreation Board is responsible for the annual Children’s Fair, Summer Park program and other community events. 2026 marks the 75th Year of the Children’s Fair, which raises money for park equipment as well as the operations for the FREE summer park program. The Recreation Board is in need of new members to continue these wonderful traditions.
Shoemakersville Children’s Fair and Parade is the primary source for all of the Recreation Board’s funding. This annual event has occurred the first Saturday in June for over 70 years.
We are excited to announce the 2026 Shoemakersville Park Program!
The program will operate from June 15th – August 7th, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. There is no cost for the park program with the exception of a minimal charge for a weekly craft.
Children who regularly attend the park program will be allowed to enter the pool on Wednesday’s free of charge. The park leaders will also attend the pool. The schedule for Wednesdays is: 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM for the regular park program and 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM for the pool.
Children ages 8-16 may attend the park program. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult!
As a reminder, the Park Program is not a daycare facility. Our leaders are not certified daycare teachers. We expect the children as well as parents be respectful to our leaders and review the rules.
